Paradictyna rufoflava

Description

Paradictyna rufoflava is a spider of the genus Paradictyna endemic to New Zealand. It is a cribellate (hackled band-producing) spider of the family Dictynidae. According to Spiders of New Zealand and Their Worldwide Kin, P. rufoflava is a hunting spider of variable coloring found in forests. Paradictyna is a genus of South Pacific cribellate araneomorph spiders in the family Dictynidae, and was first described by Raymond Robert Forster in 1970. As of May 2019 it contains only two species, both found in New Zealand: P. ilamia and P. rufoflava.
