Description

Lasius flavus is a species of ant of the subfamily Formicinae that is widespread in Europe,but also found in Asia,North Africa and eastern North America.The queens measure from 7 to 9 millimeters long,the males from 3 to 4 millimeters and the workers from 2 to 4 millimeters.These ants have colors ranging from yellow to brown,queen and males are significantly darker.This type of ant is monomorphic,that is to say all the members are similar in form and do not have soldiers.
