Austrosimulium ungulatum

Description

Austrosimulium ungulatum, known by the common name West Coast black fly, is a species of small flies of the Simuliidae family. It is endemic to New Zealand and is found in the South Island and Stewart Island. It is also known as a "sandfly" in New Zealand.
