Description

Crypsitricha generosa is a species of moth in the family Tineidae. It was described by Alfred Philpott in 1926. This species is endemic to New Zealand. The wingspan is about 17 mm. The forewingss are white mixed with ochreous. There is a blackish-fuscous stripe along the costa from the base to beyond three-fourths, gradually dilated to half, where it reaches about half across the wing, beyond this narrowed by the intrusion of a whitish discal patch, from the base to half it is margined beneath with bright ochreous. The apex is ochreous. The hindwings are ochreous-white.
