(Cervus nippon)
The sika,or deer of Japan,( Cervus nippon,Temminck,1838 ) are deer of medium size,massive,with the thin head and spotted coat,the average queue length and with a simple structure stages with 8 or 10 bits.It is a native species of the south-east of Asia,from which it was then introduced in many other parts of the world.It is considered to be endangered in many areas,except in Japan,where the population is overwhelming.The sika name derives from the Japanese word shika Which means "deer".
