The spotted carpet shark ( Orectolobus maculatus Bonnaterre,1788 ) is an Orectolobiformes,from the family of the Orectolobidae,which is found along the coasts of Japan,southern China and those of Australia up to those of Queensland,in the region between the latitudes 20 ° S and 40 ° S.It reaches a maximum length of 3 meters.This shark is sometimes called a marbled shark.
