Description

Amietia angolensis is a frog species from the Pyxicephalidae family.The species was first scientifically described by José Vicente Barbosa du Bocage in 1866.Originally,the scientific name Rana angolensis was used.The species occurs in large parts of southern Africa.The habitat consists of shallow water surrounded by dense grass vegetation in savannas,forests,grasslands or agricultural areas.It is a fairly large species.Adult frogs can jump meters far.
