Amyda cartilaginea is a tortoise species described by Pieter Boddaert in 1770.Amyda cartilaginea is part of the genus Amyda and the family leather turtles.IUCN categorizes the species globally as vulnerable.The species is found on the south-eastern mainland and on the Malacka Peninsula.
