Description

Monocostus uniflorus is a species of Liliopsida first described by Eduard Friedrich Poeppig and Otto Georg Petersen, and given the simplified Asian name by Paulus Johannes Maria Maas. Monocostus uniflorus belongs to the genus Monocostus, and the family Costaceae. None of these subspecies are listed. Monocostus is a group of plants in the Costaceae described as a genus in 1904. There is only one known species, Monocostus uniflorus, endemic to Peru.
