Description

Gyrostemon is a genus of shrubs or small trees belonging to the family Gyrostemonaceae . It comprises 30 species described and of these, only 13 accepted. The genre was described by René Louiche Desfontaines and published in Mémoires du Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle 6: 16. 1820. 2 The type species is: Gyrostemon ramulosus Desf.
