Gyrostemon

Description

Gyrostemon is a genus of shrubs or small trees in the family Gyrostemonaceae, endemic to Australia. The genre was described by René Louiche Desfontaines and published in Mémoires du Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle 6: 16. 1820. 2 The type species is: Gyrostemon ramulosus Desf.
