Eucalyptus tindaliae

Description

Eucalyptus tindaliae,known by the common name Tindale's stringybark,is a tree native to coastal eastern Australia.Occurring north from Coffs Harbour,usually on the poorer soils in high rainfall areas. A tree up to 30 metres tall.It has rough,fibrous stringy bark usually coloured grey over brown.Adult leaves are 7 to 13 cm long,1.3 to 3 cm wide,a glossy green.The same colour above and below the leaf.Flowering is from May to July.Gumnuts without stems or with very short stems.Hemispherical in shape,more broad than long.Up to 0.7 cm by 0.8 cm.Four or occasionally five valves,up to the level of the rim.
