(Globularia bisnagarica)
Globularia punctata is a plant in the family Plantaginaceae, native to Europe.It is a perennial, clumping plant up to 30 cm tall with a basal rosette of leaves with long petioles and a cochlear form. In summer it produces heads of indigo flowers. Globularia : generic name from Latin and which, according to Clusio, Rariorum aliquot stirpium, per Pannoniam (1583), name among botanists of a plant clearly referable to the genus Globularia L. (Globulariaceae), no doubt allusive to the globose shape of the inflorescences -The t. globulus = globule, globule, little ball; diminutive of lat. globe ; and from -aria = suffix indicating relationship, in a broad sense.
