The Brazilian sapé ( Andropogon bicornis ) is a species of herbaceous plant belonging to the Poaceae family . It is located in America . It is a rhizomatous plant, perennial with thin or moderately robust culms, which reach a size of 1-2.5 m in height, branched towards the apex, glabrous. Leaves with carinate pods, broad, glabrous, with a long hairy apex; flat or involute limbs, up to 50 cm x 2-5 mm, with scanned margins. Panicle copulated; clusters numerous, geminados or ternados, 2-3 cm, on pedunculoslargos and filiformes, provided with narrow and espatiformes pods; articles and pedicels filiform and long hairy.
