Tree that reaches 20 m of height,of fast growth that is distributed between 1100 and 2800 msnm,of scaly bark and leaves simple,opposite,decused,tetragonal or angular branches,leaves of acute apex,whole margin,surface adaxial glabra,abaxial with a yellowish pruin and with a pair of glands or nectaries at the base.Inflorescences terminal or subterminals,racemes,flowers with 5 petals joined by the base,white corolla.Fruits in drupa,red,glossy,3-4 cm in length
