This fern has a short rhizome, quite thick and with thick hair. The roots are present, numerous and robust. It is rather epiphyte (on the trunk of the trees).The stipe, the petiole and the rachis are covered with long brown hair.The blade is smaller than the average of the genus: it measures less than 20 cm.it is divided 3 times.The sori, paratactic to the veins of the leaf, are surrounded by a tubular indusie campanulée.It counts, like the species of the genus, 36 pairs of chromosomes.
